![]() ![]() When you download the new artwork, you'll usually get either a new portrait.xnb file (this is the pic that pops up when you talk to someone) and a new character.xnb file (this is the sprite). Once you download the new artwork that you want to use, it's just a matter of dropping it into the right folder. Next, for changing the artwork or dialog it's super easy and you don't usually need SMAPI. Usually the author of the mod will indicate if things like that are required. Sometimes more complex mods have additional dependencies like a mod called Advanced Location Loader. I think for PC users it's located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\ModsĪnd for Mac it's here: /Users//Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS/Mods ![]() Once you're all set up it's just a matter of finding mods and then dropping them in the Mods folder in your game folder.
